Canadian Tulip Festival 2020

The Canadian Tulip Festival is an annual world-famous festival that centres around Ottawa’s love affair with the tulip, with a million tulips blooming in public areas, including 250,000 blooms in Commissioners Park near Dows Lake, from May 8 to 18, 2020.

A million tulips that will blow your mind!

The Canadian Tulip Festival is one of the largest tulip exhibitions in the world, with more than one million tulips of more than 100 varieties growing in the Ottawa area. Tulip beds are found in Queen Juliana Park, Montcalm-Taché Park in Gatineau, Major's Hill Park in downtown Ottawa and the Olympic Garden on the Rideau Canal. The largest exhibition is in Commissioners Park near Dow's Lake.

Do you know the origin of the Canadian Tulip Festival? This festival is a celebration of Canada's role in the liberation of the Netherlands during the Second World War. After the Netherlands, Ottawa is the place in the world where you can find the most tulips!
