Maple syrup season usually begins from late winter to early spring, generally from late February to April. In the Gatineau-Ottawa region, we enjoy maple syrup delights in the various maple groves, sugar shacks and restaurants that use maple syrup in original ways in their dishes and desserts.

Proulx Maple & Berry Farm located just east of Ottawa, in Cumberland.
The Fulton's Pancake House and Sugar Bush is a family sugar shack located in Ottawa.
Flapjack's Canadian Diner, a Canadian-themed restaurant located west of downtown Ottawa in the heart of Little Italy.
Vanier Museopark is a francophone museum located in the heart of a sugar bush about 10 minutes east of Parliament Hill. The sugar shack offers delicious traditional dishes every year between mid-February and the end of April.
The sugar shack of Domaine de l'Ange-Gardien located a few minutes from Gatineau and Ottawa. It offers homemade meals with local maple products, as well as evenings with musicians. You can visit the maple syrup processing facilities and stroll along the Domaine's trails.
La Cabane à Sucre Chez Ti-Mousse located in Papineauville in the Outaouais region. Enjoy an all-you-can-eat menu including pancakes with maple syrup. A delicious maple taffy on the snow is provided with the meal.
